Investment Group Provides Solar Finance Expertise and Capital Sources to Ontario Projects
Toronto, ON, March 1, 2010 - ArcStar Energy Canada Limited has been established to finance, own and manage distributed solar energy assets on behalf of their investors and strategic development partners. The management group, comprised of Ontario and US partners, has a long history of investment in the energy sector in North American and international markets. Their experience includes commercial, industrial and municipal rooftop and ground-mount solar as well as specialized expertise in the integration of solar with baseload generation such as landfill gas, industrial cogeneration and plasma gas generation systems. The partners also hold interests in large-scale district heating and cooling plants managed under power purchase agreements. "Financing energy infrastructure requires particular investment structures and sources of capital. We believe we can help deliver that expertise to help in the success of the FIT program" said Monty Bannerman, an Ontario native and one of the founding partners.
