She started her career working for former United States Senator John Warner (R-VA). Following that, she joined the Subcommittee on Trade of the United States House of Representatives Committee on Ways and Means, where she worked on, among other things, North American Free Trade (NAFTA) matters, and the development of the Central America-United States Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA). Importantly, CAFTA covers Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, which are major markets for ArcStar. She also worked on the continued growth and development of the Caribbean Community and Common Market (CARICOM).
